About Design General

Digital capability and creative production, built around how organisations work.

Digital Solutions builds websites, software, data systems, and tools for research and organisational operations. Creative Studio provides graphic design and photography for organisations, campaigns, publications, events, and people.

Our structure

Digital and creative work managed together.

Design General began in 2016 with graphic and web design. Its current work is organised into Digital Solutions and Creative Studio. Digital Solutions builds websites, software, data systems, research tools, and Design General products. Creative Studio provides graphic design and photography.

The business is owner-led. Staff and specialist collaborators are assigned according to project requirements, while scope, decisions, commercial terms, delivery, and client communication remain centrally managed.

Design General works best with organisations that value clear requirements, named responsibilities, staged review, careful handling of information, and maintainable handover.

How we operate

Principles that shape every engagement.

  1. Define the requirement before choosing the solution.
  2. Keep client and operational data within approved boundaries.
  3. Distinguish working capability from planned capability.
  4. Record decisions, changes, approvals, and delivery.
  5. Build for the client's operating conditions and support capacity.

One delivery model

Focused responsibility from enquiry to follow-up.

A new client starts through the public site. Design General qualifies the requirement, defines the engagement, manages delivery in the workspace, and gives authorised clients access to the records and outputs relevant to their work.

Service engagements

Defined around the assignment

Digital systems, design, and photography work proceeds through qualification, scope, commercial agreement, staged production, review, acceptance, delivery, and support.

Product engagements

Defined around fit and deployment

Product opportunities proceed through discovery, demonstration where available, configuration, quotation, licence, deployment, onboarding, support, and renewal.
